Was pulling in the 'Seinfeld' cast smart for 'Curb?'

In an interesting move by 'Seinfeld' creator Larry David, he brought in the full quartet of Jerry, Elaine, George, Kramer for the seventh season finale of his HBO series 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.'

The former cast has struggled to find the same kind of fame outside their acclaimed show, while 'Curb' has been a successful hit for HBO. David decided to get the cast back together for a (second) final hurrah. Was this a good move for 'Curb,' or was it looking more like a professional favor?
